International Counterfeit Currency Racket Busted, 4 Arrested In Delhi

Four contributors of a global gang involved in circulating Faux Indian Currency Notes (FICN), pumped into India with Pakistan’s aid via Bangladesh, have been arrested, police said on Friday.

Sheikh Fazullah, 25, Sheikh Shehzad, 39, Habibur Rehman, 35, and Rehman, 42, were arrested from Delhi and Bihar in a sequence of raids performed via Delhi Police this week.

“We were trailing the racket for more than closing Four months and managed to discover their names. We recovered FICN having a face value of Rs. 10.25 lakh (in denominations of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500) from the ownership of the arrested folks,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Mobile) Sanjeev Yadav.
